Purpose of the position

Small but rapidly growing, successful private company in Preston requires the professional skills of an experienced Records & Project Administrator. The one who can take responsibilities, work independently and build good relations with maximum output.

 

Responsibilities & Duties

Your Records & Project Administrator background in a busy environment is a necessity. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel, typing, strong attention to detail and follow through, are a must in this diverse role.

  • Interpreting architectural drawings, specifications and costing projects
  • Evaluate and preserve records for administrative, historical, legal, evidential purposes
  • Preparing record-keeping systems, guides and procedures for archival research and retentions
  • Maintaining computerised and other record management systems and record forms, and advising on their usage
  • Developing record cataloguing, coding and classification systems, and monitoring their use
  • Coordinating labour resources, and procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment, where required
  • Consulting with Architects, other professionals, Technical and Trades Workers
  • Negotiating with subcontractors involved in the construction process to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Operating and implementing coordinated work programs for sites
  • Overseeing the standard and progress of subcontractors’ work

Academic Qualification & Experience

  • Minimum a Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 2 years experience
  • Advance knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to design, implement and administer record systems
  • Ability to plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate projects and other human resources involved
  • Computer Literate
  • Friendly & organised
